Zion began its community garden 2 years ago. However, even as a newcomer, it has grown fast. Starting with 25 garden plots in 2009, the garden grew to 48 plots in 2010. We fully expect it to grow even more in 2011!

Located at the base of a hill and only a few hundred yards from Holes Creek, the garden site is blessed with good soil and plentiful moisture. During the last two gardening seasons, watering at planting time was almost all that was required! While there is currently no access to water, we hope to provide well access some time in future seasons.
The Zion Community Garden is located on the beautiful grounds of Zion Lutheran Church - at the corner of Alex-Bell and Munger Road - near the Dayton Mall. The address is 5550 Munger Rd. Come garden with us, or maybe come and see the wonderful gardens people are growing. You might even enjoy our Meditation Trail located in the woods on our property.
